   The battery connectors break after time. About to order my 2nd one. Poor quality piece for a really good guitar.

   I have the mandolin A8. a great instrument but only after playing it a week the door kept opening. It isn’t broken it’s just that the door won’t hold to the latch. I’ve owned it for about three years now and just tried to deal with it. But it’s becoming quite a nuisance lately. Was looking to buy a replacement, but after this review, I may just have to try and figure something else out… it’s a incredibly awesome instrument, but the battery holder leaves a lot to be desired…. The door just keeps popping open.

   I just replaced my A12’s battery box after I accidentally broke the closing tab. The original lasted 10 years, so I am happy the piece is available. THanks Godin!

   The battery box on my Godin A6 Ultra is solid and reliable. I don’t understand the negative reviews I’ve seen about it. Personally, mine has always held up perfectly, even after years of regular use. No issues with fragility or malfunction whatsoever. It’s a well-designed component that does its job without any trouble!
