  1. Ava King

The quality of this guitar is apparent from the moment you pick it up.

  2. Jon Hines

My second ‘5th ave’ i bought because I loved the ‘kingpin’ so much and wanted something similar but with different tone options. This guitar did the job, and quickly found its way as my #1 overtop of the kingpin. It’s a deeper body than the kingpin, considered ‘jumbo size’, neck is smooth and easy to play, again another guitar for jazz or blues. These archtops on top of sounding great, and stunning guitars, super light and easy to play.

If you’re primarily an acoustic player, like I was /am. I found the transition into playing these archtops easier Becuase the resembled acoustics so much in the feel.

  3. Jack Verbraak

I’ve been playing my 5th avenue kingpin for about 8 years now and it’s been my dayly driver, always within handsreach and ready to go because it’s very versatile and suited to acoustic and amplified playing(pick or fingerstyle). When I got a chance to buy the jumbo memphis sun I for a good price I couldn’t resist. Here is my email send to the seller after I got it:
Friday afternoon just in time for the weekend my Godin guitar arrived in good condition.
After acclimasation and a personel set up (basicaly lowering the strings a little bit) it was ready to go. I’ve played it all weekend plugged and unplugged.
I tend to string my hollowbody guitars jazz style (0.12 flatwounds with a wound g-string) and was surprised to see roundwound 0.11’s (unwound g-string) on the Godin. It’s a different feel but it makes the guitar more versatile and suited to all musical styles.
The guitar played and sounded great (warm, resonant and sustainy). I had trouble putting it down (which is allways a good sign). I own several hollowbody guitars ( including some high end vintage ones (Gibson/Guild)) but I must say that Godin is in a class all it’s own combining high quality and character with a lower price.
    In short: “I love it”.
