The Metropolis Composer LR Baggs Element, which is part of the Godin Acoustic lineup, is absolutely stunning and a real joy to play! It comes in a classic dreadnought size, perfect for that big and full sound. The body is made of a Mahogany construction with a smooth semi-gloss finish—with a solid Mahogany top and back, which are complemented by layered Mahogany sides. This guitar also has a Mahogany neck, so you can be sure to get rich and rounded tones, all the while being very well balanced with the addition of a Richlite fretboard, an Ebony bridge, and a 25.5” scale. Also included is the LR Baggs system for convenient plug-and-play performance. Naturally, the Metropolis Composer LR Baggs Element is made right here in Canada!

1 review for Metropolis Composer LR Baggs Element

  1. I’ve had my metropolis for a little over 6 months and absolutely love it. It has an amazing well rounded tone, and is a dream to play. The electronics seem great other than the knobs not being centred in the holes in the bracket. I am however disappointed with some of the construction. There are gaps where the neck meets the body as well as glue residue in the same area. Not a big deal but it is disappointing given the price tag. If you’re looking to purchase one just check those areas to make sure they don’t have the same issues as mine. Other than that I would highly suggest this acoustic!

  2. hank you for sharing your experience with your Metropolis guitar! We’re thrilled to hear that you love its tone and playability.

Regarding the gaps you noticed where the neck meets the body, we’d like to provide some insight. During construction, we apply a wood paste to fill any minor gaps in this area, ensuring a seamless joint. Over time, as the paste dries and the wood naturally adjusts to environmental conditions, slight separations can sometimes appear. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the structural integrity or performance of the guitar in any way.

As for the glue residue, we strive to keep our finishing process as clean as possible, but occasional traces can remain in areas where excess glue is used for stability. Your feedback is valuable, and we will pass it along to our team to ensure the highest level of craftsmanship.

If you have any concerns about your instrument’s playability or durability, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We appreciate your support and are glad you’re enjoying your Metropolis!

    Best regards,
