This is my fourth classical guitar. I bought this one because it has everything. It sounds very full acoustically. Nice bottom end and nice clear top. This is a very finely crafted guitar. I really like the quality of woods and how well it is put together. The tuners are very very good. There appears to be a lot of effort put into the detailing. I was very lucky to find a guitar that has such a good build quality at such a good price. But to top it all off, it has a truss rod, built in pickup with volume and tone controls and to boot a really good tuner. To get all this in a cutaway is not easy to find. It seems like other guitar builders of classical guitars seem to leave out one or two of these extras. In today’s world, there is simply no reason to build a guitar with a pickup and pre-amp and not include a tuner. And for me, It has to have a truss rod. I don’t understand why in this modern advanced world why anyone would build a guitar without all that this guitar has.

Glowing good looks and a rich, warm, beautiful sound. Plays easily. This guitar has gotten better over the 5 years I’ve had it.

Excellent guitar.
Which strings are recommended for this guitar?
Service Client Godin / Customer Service –
Hello,
Thank you for your message!
This guitar comes equipped with HTC Nylon strings in the following gauges: .0285, .0327, .0410, .030, .036, .044. These strings are chosen for their balanced tone, playability, and compatibility with the instrument’s design.
However, string choice is highly personal and depends on your playing style, preferred tone, and feel. If you’re looking for a warmer, mellower sound, you might prefer lower-tension strings, whereas higher-tension strings can offer more projection and a firmer feel. Experimenting with different brands and tensions can help you find the perfect match for your playing style.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Best regards,

I bought this instrument a few years back, played it a fair bit and then it ended up in the closet for reasons I can’t really recall. I recently pulled it out to play a fingerstyle bossa nova set when I had a bout of laryngitis a few months back and it’s not made it back in its case except to rest overnight.
This guitar is really nice. Electronics sound clear, the feel of the neck is great, a truss rod means it’s easy to dial in good action, and the cutaway is very comfortable. Highly recommended.

I love this guitar. Wherever I look at her, I love her. It has a spectacular sound, it is very soft to the touch and very comfortable. I was undecided about buying it, I didn’t know if I was going to fit what I was looking for; But without a doubt, it exceeded my expectations.

I received this guitar from Quebec today and have played it for three hours. The craftmanship is exemplary, the finish gloss perfection (except for the neck, which has a matte finish, as it should), the tuners tight, and the wood quality—solid mahogany back and side, solid cedar top—fine grained and extraordinarily beautiful.
I unwrapped my Classica CW II and stared at it from all angles for a long time, afraid that the sound and playability might not live up to the good looks. Wrong. The 2” wide rosewood neck is perfect for my left hand, the intonation fine, and the sound warm and expressive. The solid mahogany sides and back give the instrument good projection, the cedar top a welcome warmth. Frets are perfect, highly playable with little or no buzzing, especially on that sometimes problematic low e string.
Plugged in to a Fender Acoustronic amp, the guitar sounded fantastic. I have never used Fishman electronics, but they are superb, no issues with feedback, and the tuner easy to use. The truss rod is welcome, although the factory setup seems great.
I’m gushing, but I love this ax and can’t wait to hear it open up and sound even better with more playing.
