   This came stock in my rustic burst solid mahogany folk and it’s the first UST that doesn’t have me wanting to tear it out of the guitar. I was surprised at how much it warmed the guitar up and made it sound fuller. Good match for the folk gtr. Running it into a good EQ works well, it is quite easy to dial it in to something actually quite musical and useable. Not a lot of quack. It’s still a UST, though, and the tell-tale piezo sound comes through, so it gets a 4/5. The guitar sounds especially good through the fishman loud box series. But, I run mine through a multi-fix with great eq and off to the PA.

   Thanks for your feedback! Glad to hear that this preamp works well for you and adds warmth to your solid mahogany folk guitar. With a good EQ, it’s definitely possible to dial in a musical and usable tone. Also great to know that it pairs well with the Fishman Loudbox and your setup into the PA.    First time I’ve ever used this system, it came preinstalled on my Epiphone Hummingbird. Functions great and tone adjustment works great. I also have a Yamaha FG830 that sounds great but no electronics so I’ll probably be keeping an eye on this product to see if goes on sale and putting one in that as well. No complaints at all with this pick up, works great
